By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including free users, paid members (“Kwest Members”), and visitors to our website. Children under 13 are not permitted to use the Platform.

  • Location data: precise GPS location data when you use location-based game features, GPS check-ins, or QR code scanning. Location data is fundamental to the operation of the game;

  • Log data (IP address, access times, pages viewed, app activity, crash reports);
  • QR code scan activity and game interaction data;
  • Points, rankings, game history, and in-app activity;
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (on our website).

c) Information from Third Parties

  • Payment processors (Stripe) — confirmation of successful transactions;
  • Analytics providers — aggregated usage and performance data;
  • If you connect a social media account, basic profile information from that platform.

Why We Collect Your LocationWorld Kwest is a real-world location-based game. Collecting your GPS location data is essential for the game to function. Without location access, core game features including GPS check-ins, Kwest completion, and QR code verification cannot operate.

We collect the following categories of location data:

  • Precise GPS location: your real-time latitude and longitude coordinates, used to verify your physical presence at Kwest locations and business partner sites;
  • Location history: a record of GPS check-ins and locations visited during gameplay, stored in association with your account;
  • Approximate location: general geographic area data used for analytics, region-based features, and leaderboard display.

Purposes of Location Data Collection

  • Game functionality: to verify that you are physically present at a required location for GPS check-ins and Kwest completions;
  • Anti-cheating and integrity: to detect and prevent GPS spoofing, location manipulation, or fraudulent gameplay;
  • Scoring and rankings: to accurately award points based on verified physical presence;
  • Prize eligibility verification: to confirm that a winner’s location is consistent with their competition history and eligibility;
  • Safety and emergency: we may use location data if we have reason to believe a safety issue exists;
  • Analytics and improvement: to understand how the game is played geographically and to improve features.

Legal Basis for Processing Location Data

  • Consent: by enabling location permissions and using the Platform, you provide explicit consent to the collection and use of your precise location data;

Device Permissions

The World Kwest mobile app requests the following device permissions:

  • Location (while using the app): required for GPS check-ins and Kwest completion;
  • Precise location (foreground): required while the app is in use.

You may disable location permissions at any time through your device settings, but doing so will prevent full use of core game features.

Sharing of Location Data

We do not sell your location data. We do not share your precise location history with third-party business partners or advertisers. Location data may be shared only with service providers assisting in platform operation, for prize verification purposes, and where required by law or safety.

5. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: third-party vendors who assist in operating the Platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing via Stripe, customer support tools), subject to confidentiality obligations;

When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.

9. INTERNATIONAL USERS

If you are located outside of Nevada, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country with different data protection laws. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers.
